Return, Exchange & Refund Policy

We want you to love every purchase. Please read our policy carefully before requesting a return or exchange.
Mandatory Unboxing Video β Required for All Returns & Exchanges
An unboxing video is compulsory for every return or exchange request. Without a valid unboxing video, your request will not be accepted under any circumstances.
How to record a valid unboxing video:
- Start recording before opening the outer packaging (show the sealed parcel clearly).
- Record continuously and without any cuts or edits until the product is fully visible.
- Ensure the video clearly shows the Vastraveda seal, courier label, and product.
- Poor lighting, cropped, or edited videos will not be accepted.
π‘ Why we require this: The unboxing video protects you as a customer. It provides indisputable proof of the product's condition upon delivery, protecting you from courier mishandling or packaging tampering β and helps us resolve disputes quickly and fairly.
Return Policy
We accept returns within 7 days of delivery only in the following cases:
- You received a wrong product (different from what you ordered).
- The product arrived damaged or defective due to manufacturing or transit.
Conditions for a Valid Return:
- Item must be unused, unworn, and unwashed.
- All original tags must be intact and attached.
- Product must be in its original packaging.
- A valid unboxing video must be submitted (see above).
- Return request must be raised within 7 days of delivery.
Non-Returnable Items:
- Customised or personalised sarees (stitched blouse, name embroidery, etc.)
- Items where original tags have been removed or packaging is damaged.
- Items returned after 7 days of delivery.
- Items returned without an unboxing video.
- Items that show signs of use, washing, or wear.
- Sale / clearance items (marked as final sale).
Exchange Policy
Exchanges are available within 7 days of delivery for any available item from our catalogue, subject to stock availability.
- Product must be unused, unworn, and in original condition with all tags intact.
- A valid unboxing video is mandatory for exchange requests.
- If the exchange item has a higher price, you will need to pay the difference.
- If the exchange item has a lower price, the difference will be issued as store credit.
- Shipping charges for the exchange shipment may apply.
How to Request an Exchange:
- Email us at support@vastraveda.in with your order number and unboxing video.
- Our team will review your request within 1β2 business days.
- Once approved, we will arrange pickup and dispatch the replacement.
Refund Policy
Refunds are processed only for valid return cases (wrong product or damaged item) where all return conditions are satisfied.
Refund Timelines:
- Prepaid Orders (UPI / Card / Net Banking): Refund credited to the original payment method within 5β7 business days after return is received and verified.
- COD (Cash on Delivery) Orders: Refund transferred via bank transfer or UPI within 5β7 business days. Bank details will be collected via email.
- Shipping charges are non-refundable in all cases.
How to Initiate a Return or Refund
- Email us at support@vastraveda.in with the subject: "Return Request β Order #[your order number]"
- Include your order number, reason for return, and unboxing video.
- Our team will review and respond within 1β2 business days.
- If approved, we will schedule a reverse pickup or provide drop-off instructions.
- Once the item is received and quality-checked, your refund or exchange will be processed.
